| Dr. Winegar is a licensed psychologist with a specialty in pediatric neuropsychology. He holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, and has extensive pre and post-doctoral training in child assessment. This includes an Internship at North Shore University Hospital/NYU School of Medicine, one of the nation's only dedicated pediatric neuropsychology training programs. He spent two years in clinical practice at Mt. Sinai Hospital and in private practice in New York before relocating to Sarasota, Florida in 2000. He is Associate Medical Staff at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, and an approved psychologist-evaluator for Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte County schools.
Dr. Winegar is a member of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, the American College of Sports Medicine, the Florida Psychological Association as well as the American Psychological Association. He is past Treasurer of the Lower West Coast Chapter of the Florida Psychological Association. Dr. Winegar also holds Masters degrees from the University of Maryland and Yeshiva University.
